Design Questions:
1. What can be customized?
Each of the three Save, Spend and Share canisters can be fully customized with your logo, unique artwork, and language of choice.
The guide booklet can be either hexagonal or cloud shaped and the contents can be fully customized.
The passbook color and the logo can be changed; however, it is not suggested that anything else be altered due to the complexity of the passbook.
The yellow band can be customized with a small amount of copy. If your order is 2500 units or more, you can select the color of the band and there is no additional charge for this color change.
All components of the Custom Moonjar Moneybox can be fully customized or you can simply add your logo. The design can be as unique as you wish.
2. Can I see a sample of the product to get a sense of the sheen and paper stock?
Contact us at info@moonjar.com and we can ship you a sample of the Custom Moonjar with Moonjar branding prior to finalizing your order. The cost of the item and shipping will be billed to you.
3. What is the minimum order for Custom Moonjars?
The minimum order size is 500 Custom Moonjars. Order in 100 unit increments please.
4. Do you provide a template we can use for our designs?
We sure do. We provide templates which your graphics designer can use to create your unique Save, Spend, Share containers, guide booklet and passbook.
The templates are proprietary property of Moonjar and cannot be used without Moonjar’s express consent. Our patent number will be printed on each Moonjar dieline.
5. We don’t have a graphic designer. Can you help?
We can connect you with some great designers who are familiar with our templates and who can provide an estimate for the design work you envision. Prices will vary depending on the size of the design project.
6. How do we send you our artwork?
Once you initiate a Custom Moonjar order, we will email you a Dropbox link to a folder with your company’s name where you will find the templates you need to create your artwork. Once your design is complete, simply use the same link to upload your artwork so we can access it.
7. What file format does my graphics designer need to use?
Artwork should be provided in a Vector File Format such as Adobe Illustrator .ai files.
8. Can we change the paper stock or sheen on the paper?
We do not suggest that you alter the current production specifications of our Custom Moonjars. However, if you wish to make changes we can review them with you to see if the change is plausible. There will be an additional fee for altering the paper stock and/or sheen.
9. Can we review our design before printing?
Once you post your final artwork, we will create a PDF proof and ask for your final approval prior to printing.
You have a second opportunity to approve your design if you select the optional pre-production sample. Anticipate a 2-week delay in the production schedule awaiting your approval of the sample. The sample will be printed and sent by air freight. The cost of this optional sample is $40.00 plus air freight costs.
10. Can we reorder the same design we used before?
Yes. We will have your previous design in your Dropbox folder so that you may review the PDF proofs from your earlier order and approve them again so we can start production.
11. May I get a pre-production sample to assure the colors and layout are correct?
An optional pre-production sample is available. The cost for the sample will be $40.00 plus air freight. Anticipate a 2-week delay in the production schedule.
12. How is the Custom Moonjar packaged?
Each Custom Moonjar will be shrink wrapped and include Save, Spend and Share canisters, guide booklet, passbook, and band. 100 shrink wrapped Custom Moonjars are in each shipping carton.
13. How Many units are in each shipping carton and what is the dimension of each carton?
There are 100 Custom Moonjars in each carton so we request you order in multiples of 100 so a full carton ships. Each carton weighs 26lbs and measures 22 x 21 x 9 inches.
Production and Shipping Questions:
1. How long does it take once my artwork is finalized and approved for the Custom Moonjars to
be printed and shipped to me?
Production requires 5-6 weeks after the PDF proofs of your artwork have been approved.
Ocean freight can add an additional 2-3 weeks depending on port congestion and customs.
Ground transportation from the port to your location can add an additional week depending on your proximity to a sea port.
We ask our customers to use 8-10 weeks as the typical time frame to receive your order after approval of your artwork.
Placing orders early helps to mitigate any unforeseen delays.
2. What if I need my order earlier than the 8-10-week typical production time?
Contact us at info@moonjar.com and we will see if we can expedite your order so that you receive it by your deadline. All expedited orders will ship air freight so they arrive quickly. Please note that all air freight costs and duties will be charged to the customer for expedited orders.
Please note that expedited orders may not be possible due to production issues, and shipping restraints. However, we will work with you to see what is possible.
3. Should I ship my Custom Moonjars by air or ocean freight?
Ocean freight is slower; however, the cost is included in the price of any Custom Moonjar purchase.
Air freight is costly but certainly shortens the time to delivery should you need to expedite the order. Air freight and duties associated with expedited orders will be invoiced.
You may also choose a combination of air and ocean freight. Air freight and other costs of entry are not included in the per unit price.
Price & Payment Terms Questions:
1. What is the price of Custom Moonjars?
The price is determined by the number of units ordered and decreases as the order volume increases. Please contact us at info@moonjar.com to discuss your requirements.
The per unit price quote will include the cost of producing your Custom Moonjars and shipping by ocean freight. In the USA, the per unit price also includes the current duty tariff of 10%. However, import tariffs are subject to change and costs above 10% will be invoiced to the customer.
2.What other costs will we incur?
The following costs are optional and are not included in the per unit price. Should you select any of these optional items, you will be invoiced accordingly. Optional extras may include:
- Design Services you may wish to use to complete your artwork. The design fee is dependent on the size of the project. We will gladly provide an estimate once the project is defined.
- Producing and shipping of a pre-production sample is $40.00 plus air freight.
- Band customization is $0.68 per band.
- Air freight and all associated import costs are not covered for expedited orders.
3. How much does it cost to ship my Custom Moonjar order?
Ocean freight is included in the per unit price quote.
If you wish to expedite all or a portion of your order, we will use air freight and the cost of the freight including all port entry fees will be invoiced.
4.. Are there Import Duties to Pay?
We currently cover the 10% import fee for US customers.
Should this fee change as a result of federal regulations, the fee increase above 10% will be invoiced. Moonjar will cover the import fees of 10% or less.
5. What are the payment terms?
50% of the order payment is required once your artwork is approved. If your artwork requires more than 2 months to complete, you will be billed the 50% prepayment although artwork has not been yet approved.
THIS PRE-PAYMENT IS NON-REFUNDABLE.
Upon delivery of the finished product, the outstanding balance is due immediately as well as any extras you may have elected to add to your order (customized bands, pre-production sample, expedited order, design services).
